VIKINGS (2) v ULVERLEY HAWKS (1)

"DOWN BUT DEFINATELY NOT OUT"

We saw a gallant effort by everyone tonight in pursuit of keeping our league title aspirations alive.

Unfortunately it was a gap too large to bridge and we came up short against a very determined Vikings side that sought revenge after sufferering a defeat against us in the league cup final earlier this year.

My congratulations go out to Vikings FC on your win this evening and best of luck for the remainder of the season and thank you to the referee who let the game flow without incident.

Lads, try not to be too disheartened as we have had a fantastic run so far and still have three remaining games to cement the runners up slot in the league.

Defeat happens at some stage to all good teams its how you bounce back that matters!!

Just think how Manchester United felt losing to their bitter rivals Man City in the FA Cup semil final but then go on to win a place in the Champions League Final and probably win the Premiership as well! (Cmon you reds)

So pick yourselves up and let’s use this defeat as a motivator to kick on until the end of the season and remember you still have your player ratings to consider with the competition drawing to a close who will win nobody knows!
