Conditions were excellent for a game of footy this morning and our lads did not let us down. It was truly a superb performance today.
We started with Amine making his debut in Centre Mid and Mohammed dropping to Left Defence. The game started well and Hillwood had us under some pressure for the first 10 minutes or so. We gradually got into the game and began to even the play out with both sides going close to opening the scoring. We may well have fallen behind but Mark was in good form making some crucial saves. About 7 minutes before half time, we got a free kick, slightly left of centre and about 6-7 yards outside of the penalty area. Mohammmed was the man for this job and without any nerves, he fired us into the lead directly from the free kick. Awesome goal - well done Mohammed.
We went in leading 1-0 at half time and the talk at half time was to keep going with the same effort.
As expected, Hillwood came out guns blazing in the second half and soon got their equaliser. We had Hillwood on tha back foot today and some great play by Sanj and Manraj saw Manraj score from a rebound. Well done and great goal Manraj.
I thnk Hillwood were shell shocked !
Hillwood pressed us and got their equaliser about 5 mins later but our lads didn't sit back and went for the winner. However, we got caught out and Hillwood got their third with 10 mins left. But like I said, we wanted to win and Davinder had the ball in the back of the net only to be called back for an earlier incident = Great Shame. Hillwood got their 4th with seconds to go rounding off an excellent, end-end match.

POM today was Amine. He played excellent in Centre Midfield, making tackles, passing the ball off well and tracking back to help his team mates. He was tireless and was up and down the pitch all game. Well done Amine on a great debut.

I can safely say that we are all very very proud of your performance today. You all showed effort, determination and kept going even when we were under pressure and most of all played as a team. We played the Division leaders but I'll tell you, you had them worried throughout the match. Excellent performance by everyone and like Ben and I always say, put the effort in, work for each other and you will win. Well done and keep up the good work.
